Cost: €900 Early bird registration (€1000 after May 1st, instead April 1st). Includes all meals, lodging and a copy of the e-book “My House of Earth.”
Location: Cascina Abbondanza (“Plenty Farm”), Bene Vagienna (CN), Italy
Nearby Airports: Cuneo Levaldigi (about 30 minutes); Torino Caselle (about 2 hours); Milano Malpensa (about 3 hours), Nice Cote d’Azur (about 4 hours).
Cascina Abbondanza –meaning plenty farm- is a nice farm in the Piedmont countryside near to the small and ancient town of Bene Vagienna, northwest Italy, 30km far from Cuneo, 70km from Torino and 80km from Savona.
The surroundings of the farm, thanks to Stura and Tanaro rivers, are fertile and the soil is rich. We are on top of a gentle hill that we call “beinale”. You’ll be delighted by the magnificent landscape of the Maritime Alps, embracing your glare between the first Langa’s hills and the austere mount Monviso standing in the middle with its 3800m of elevation.
Lucio, Dani, Sam, Dodi, Giulia, Martina, Mattia, Matilde and Vittoria Luigia are looking forward to greeting you at Cascina Abbondanza.
We live in harmony with the land and we are working to make it fruitful, renovating what already exists, creating something new and respecting people and earth.
Cascina Abbondanza awaits you for the Workshop “My House of Earth”!
During the workshop you can camp in the area equipped with compost toilets and outdoor showers. Please bring your own tent!
If you don’t want camping, you can also stay at the local agritourism La Vigna del Maestro, which offers the special price of 18€ per night in shared room (meals not included) to Co(o)ltura members attending the workshop. From La Vigna del Maestro, you can easily cycle to the workshop location, 3km distant. Bicycles are kindly furnished by Cascina Abbondanza. Please let us know if you want us to book a room for you. For more information about the agritourism, please visit http://lavignadelmaestro.com/
Lucio will cook healthy food with natural ingredients, local seasoning and organic vegetables. He’s also a terrific pizza maker, he has great experience about flours and ancient wheat and he will be glad to share his knowledge with you during the workshop. Be prepared to eat a tasty pizza, obviously backed in an oven made of raw earth!
Each meal will be balanced according to the activities in schedule, to find for you the correct diet to approach the day full of energy!
The menu will be suitable for everyone, vegetarian and vegan included. Please, let us know if you have any kind of intolerance or if you need to follow any specific diet.
Cascina Abbondanza and Cooltura are looking forward to meeting you!
